During the Afghan campaign,the CIA operated more openly than ever before, flying its armed drones over the areas of operations or fighting alongside Seals, Delta Force, SAS or SBS detachments. The CIA SOG operator's attiresand weapons reflect a complete ignorance of uniformity and military "Spit and Polish", generally incorporating a mix of military and civilian clothes with all sorts of weapons depending on availability and tastes.

During Operation Anaconda, in March 200X, a CIA Mi-17 Helicopter, with its blades turning, lands wounded Afghans and American Special Forces soldier at the Bagram base. SOG men are certainly in the mountains tracking and hunting for "AI-Qaeda" members.
